The Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum sits on the Chisholm Trail which was a trail used in the late 19th century to drive cattle overland. The museum includes a life size cattle drive silhouettes, Johnson County's original courthouse, a working blacksmith shop, a stagecoach station, teepees and more. Free to the public
The Big Bear Native American Museum featuring a collection of Native American artifacts donated by Leonard “Big Bear" Beal and additional artifacts supplement his collection to provide a complete overview of Native Americans in North America from their arrival over 13,000 years ago to the present. Cost- Adults: $5, Seniors: $4, Children $2
The museum is opened Thursday – Saturday from 10am- 5pm and Sundays from 1pm-5pm.
